We’re back with another Holoflow interview and this time we had the honor to interview Moomin Hussain. Moomin is our 25-year-old talented guest today. His nationality is Bangladeshi but he was born and raised in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Moomin’s current employee job is not aligned with his desires. However, he wishes to pursue his passion for photography, videography, and AI content creation and become his own boss one day. Let’s get to know Moomin and his work:

1. Two things I gathered from your Instagram page are that you’re an image and video editor, and you also create AI art. But when we talked, I understood your source of income comes from a different field. Could you please tell us what you do for a living?

I work in a pharmaceutical company known as Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries Julphar which is located in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah as a Logistics Coordinator. My job is managing freight operations, ensuring material availability for the production and packaging department, monitoring temperature and humidity levels inside the warehouse, etc. This is my main source of income.

2. With the obvious gap between your interests and your job, I’m guessing you wouldn’t want to stay at your job forever. What would you rather be doing if you had the chance? Do you have any plans to make money from AI?

I aim to become an independent content creator, utilizing both real and AI-generated photography and videography. I’m exploring AI’s potential in advertising and professional content creation, hoping to turn this passion into a profitable venture.

3. When and how did you first start experimenting with AI?

I started exploring AI with ChatGPT around January 2023, followed by tools like ClipDrop, Dall-E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Pikalabs, Pytti, etc, and various UIs like Automatic1111 and ComfyUI for AI art creation. These tools have enabled me to produce unique AI-generated content and unite my interests in technology and creativity.

4. How do you apply AI to make your creations? Can you please walk us through the process?

Well, applying AI to my creations mostly involves my imagination and sometimes diffusing some original videos into AI animation. I get prompt ideas via ChatGPT most of the time and then apply them to my animations or images and also see some tips and ideas from other high-quality AI creators.

5. For how long have you been sharing your work on Instagram? Are you satisfied with your page growth?

I began using Instagram in 2012, initially as a place to store photos. By 2015, I started sharing my photography, focusing on skills like long exposure and editing to produce professional-quality images. Preferring the convenience of mobile devices, I moved into high-quality mobile videography by 2020 and embraced AI in 2023 to push the boundaries of creativity. Despite seeing average growth and occasional spikes in engagement, I aim to increase my reach further. Regarding Instagram’s algorithm, I find it inconsistent, often promoting uninteresting content over quality work like mine, leading to fluctuating visibility and engagement. This inconsistency is a challenge that Instagram needs to address to better showcase quality posts.

6. Do you have any criticism about Instagram’s algorithm or maybe tips and experiences to share on growth and visibility?

As I mentioned earlier, Instagram’s algorithm is confusing. There are contents that you don’t even want to watch. Sometimes they’re not even interesting or logical but the views and reach in those posts are a lot which leaves you in doubt. In my case, I get really good views for some posts but not all the time. I have some high-quality content that I wish got more views rather than some of my other posts. I think Instagram needs to address this issue.

7. Where do you get your inspiration from?

I mostly get my inspiration from movies, series, and games that stir my imagination.

8. Have you encountered ethical considerations or biases while using AI in your creations? How do you handle these issues?

I have not encountered any ethical considerations or biases while using AI tools for my creations. But out of the context of this question, AI tools can be harmful and dangerous because they give out results so realistic that no one’s going to believe it’s AI-generated. Instead, they consider it real. I’ll say AI is taking over the world.

9. What’s your take on AI in general? Do you feel the danger like many others do?

Yes, I do feel danger because the capacity of AI is more than humans. There is also AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) incoming very soon which is said that it is 10x times or maybe 100x times more intelligent than Artificial Intelligence which will keep people in doubt about what’s real and what’s not. From videos to pictures, everything will feel so realistic that we’ll be trapped in the matrix of AI.

10. Do you have any special message for our readers?

Get started to deep dive into learning any AI tool because AI is booming rapidly. If you start engaging with it now, although it may take you a few years to master; however, I can assure you that you’ll definitely benefit a lot from it in the near future.

11. How can people get in touch with you?

Instagram will be the right place where I share all my content. Here’s the link to my account: Moomin Hussain
