1. Can you both introduce yourselves and share a bit about your professional backgrounds before founding NewRo?

Mina: My name is Mina, and I hold a Master’s degree in Architecture. Before founding NewRo Architect Group, I worked as a BIM Manager, where I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams and developed my foundation in teamwork and project coordination.

Adele: My name is Adele, and I hold a Master’s degree in Architecture. Before founding NewRo, I worked with diverse teams as an architectural designer, BIM modeler, BIM coordinator, and detail designer on projects ranging from small-scale to large-scale. These experiences not only enhanced my technical expertise but also taught me the value of collaboration and teamwork in delivering successful outcomes.

2. How did the two of you meet, and what sparked the idea to establish NewRo Architect Group?

Mina: I first met Adeleh during our university years. Later, while working on one of my projects, I invited her to join the team, and we collaborated for several years. Adeleh is extremely detail-oriented, and together we also took on side projects beyond our main work. Over time, we realized that our partnership had the potential to grow into something bigger, which eventually led us to establish NewRo Architect Group.

Adele: Mina and I were classmates and close friends at university. After graduation, we both began our professional careers in architecture. One day, Mina reached out to me and invited me to join a project she was working on. That collaboration marked the beginning of a partnership that continued for many years. Over time, we realized that our skills complemented each other. We shared strong abilities in project management and scheduling, which ultimately inspired us to establish NewRo Architect Group together.

3. What challenges did you face in the early days of building the company, and how did you overcome them together?

In the early days of NewRo, we had to balance building the company alongside our full-time jobs. We spent our days working at the firm where we were employed, and our evenings and nights were dedicated to NewRo. Many nights were sleepless as we worked on developing a strong portfolio and résumé for the company, while simultaneously introducing NewRo to the world through platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn. It was a demanding period, but it laid the foundation for the credibility and visibility we have today.

4. The name “NewRo” is unique. What’s the story behind it?

The name ‘NewRo’ is a combination of “New”, symbolizing innovation and freshness, and “RO”, which stands for “Revolution in Optimization”. For us, it reflects a new revolution in optimizing time, cost, energy, and every aspect of the construction process through BIM. The name embodies our vision of bringing efficiency and innovation together.

5. What was the first project you worked on at NewRo, and how did you land that opportunity?

Our first project after founding NewRo was a residential building in the United States that required a complete interior redesign. The client was looking to renovate their home, and we were selected through the Upwork platform.

6.  Is there a particular project that pushed you creatively or technically in unexpected ways?

One of the most challenging projects we undertook was the renovation of Camp Nou Stadium. It was a highly complex assignment that required us to research extensively and even develop custom programming solutions for different phases. We had to perform advanced calculations while simultaneously applying new modeling techniques. This project pushed us both technically and creatively, and it became a milestone in expanding NewRo’s capabilities.

7. How do your individual strengths complement each other during the design process?

Mina: Both of us bring different software expertise to the table, which allows us to manage and guide our team more effectively. Beyond technical skills, our approaches to problem‑solving also complement each other: I tend to take a broader, strategic perspective, while Adele is highly detail‑oriented. This balance between big‑picture thinking and precision makes us a strong and complete team during the design process.

Adele: I bring a detail‑oriented approach to our design process, while Mina contributes a broad perspective. Each of us introduces new ideas, and the other refines and develops them. For us, it’s not about individual superiority; it’s about growing together and dedicating ourselves to our shared goal.

8. Do you use BIM in your projects, and if so, how has it transformed your workflow?

BIM is at the core of our work. It has elevated both precision and efficiency, enabling us to deliver complex projects with confidence. For us as a young team, BIM has been the gateway to large‑scale opportunities; it empowers us to integrate design, coordination, and execution seamlessly. In many ways, it defines NewRo’s identity as a forward‑thinking architectural group.

9. You recently attended the Big5 Dubai Exhibition 2025. What were your impressions of the event?

The Big5 Dubai Exhibition 2025 was our first experience at an international construction exhibition. While the exhibition was more product‑oriented than we expected, we were impressed by the number of BIM viewer companies, which showed us how widely this field is growing. Overall, we received positive feedback when sharing our projects with construction teams. Looking back, we believe that if we had taken a booth to showcase our services, we could have achieved even greater success.

10. What’s a fun or unexpected fact about the two of you that your audience might not know?

One surprising aspect about us is our determination to take on challenges independently. For example, when we decided to launch NewRo’s website, instead of outsourcing, we taught ourselves the necessary skills and built it on our own. This hands‑on approach often surprises people, but it reflects our commitment to learning and delivering results no matter the obstacle.

11.  What do you believe is the most valuable skill architects should develop for the future?

The most valuable skill for architects today is adaptability through digital fluency. Beyond design, architects must master Building Information Modeling (BIM) and collaborative technologies to lead multidisciplinary teams across borders. The future belongs to those who can merge creativity with data-driven precision, ensuring sustainable, efficient, and globally relevant solutions.

12. What message would you like to share with clients, students, or anyone following NewRo’s journey?

At NewRo, we believe architecture is more than buildings; it’s about trust, collaboration, and shaping a future where technology and human experience meet. To our clients, students, and followers: stay curious, embrace innovation, and never underestimate the power of teamwork. Every project is a chance to build credibility and create impact together.

13.  Finally, for readers who want to follow your work, where can they find NewRo Architect Group online: your website, Instagram, LinkedIn, or other platforms?

They can contact us via: Website, Email, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
